Dr. Sandhu is a board certified doctor and licensed in the state of California. Her interest in healing without dependency on drugs or surgery led her to study chiropractic and other types of natural health care. She graduated with her doctorate of chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland , Oregon.
Dr. Sandhu believes in an integrated approach to healing and enjoys a referral relationship with medical doctors, dentists, physical therapists, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists & massage therapists.
For manipulating joints, she uses gentle Diversified Adjusting, Cranio-sacral Therapy (CST), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Activator, and mobilization. For muscular therapy she employs a variety of massage techniques including Active Release Technique (ART), Nimmo and Travell trigger point therapy, as well as acupressure. In addition, she uses supplements, exercises, and orthotics for her patients.
Dr. Sandhu studied pre-medicine at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba , Canada . While attending UofW she worked and volunteered in the Health Sciences Center for Rehabilitative Effectiveness, physical therapy as well as broadened her horizons to include patients from all areas including the diet intervention, psychiatric and cancer patients.
Along with her excellent chiropractic clinical skills, Dr. Sandhu is also an active member of her community and volunteers with a variety of different organizations. She is an active member of the non-profit organization Sahaita which amongst other endeavors organizes charitable clinics that provide preventive health education and immunizations in California and India.
